Jay then continued his education obtaining a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2015. While in school, Jay clerked for a Judge in Baton Rouge for over 7 years. Immediately out of law school, Jay worked for a prominent injury law firm here in Baton Rouge for over seven years, allowing him to perfect his craft.

Beyond the courtroom, Jay is an avid traveler, exploring diverse international cultures, landscapes, and amazing food around the globe. When not practicing law, Jay enjoys quality time with his two rescue dogs, and wife or soaking up the sun while boating on the Amite River. Jay has been married to Corinne Schwartzberg since 2019. Jay volunteers frequently by fostering dogs from the Baton Rouge animal shelter and helping them find their forever homes.

Jay believes that each client has a unique case with unique needs. Unlike at other law firms in town, Jay’s clients are not just a number. All of Jay’s clients are treated like family and given the personal attention, time, and care that clients come to expect from their injury attorney. Commitment to justice extends beyond the confines of the legal profession, reflecting a belief in making a positive impact in clients lives, both in and out of the courtroom. Kent Moroux

Kent Moroux is a Louisiana trial attorney whose practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He represents individuals and families harmed by automobile accidents, trucking collisions, premises liability incidents, and other serious injury claims throughout Louisiana.

Before joining  Schwartzberg Injury Attorneys, Kent spent nearly two decades litigating complex cases on behalf of insurance companies and corporate defendants. That experience gave him firsthand insight into how insurance carriers investigate claims, evaluate exposure, and defend lawsuits — knowledge he now uses to advocate for injured clients and pursue the highest recoveries on their behalf.

Over the course of his career, Kent has handled numerous bench and jury trials in courts across Louisiana and has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Known for his strategic thinking, courtroom presence, and ability to connect with clients and juries alike, he brings a practical and client-focused approach to every case.

Kent believes effective representation begins with understanding what clients and their families are going through after a serious injury or unexpected loss. Beyond the legal case itself, he recognizes the stress that medical treatment, missed work, financial uncertainty, and day-to-day disruption can place on an entire family. He takes pride in helping clients navigate those challenges with steady guidance, clear communication, and a commitment to pursuing the resources they need to move forward. For Kent, helping clients get back on their feet after difficult circumstances is one of the most meaningful aspects of practicing law.

Kent earned his law degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Outside the office, Kent enjoys music, photography, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
